Fun Fact For You! Remember the scene when Jim Dear gives his wife, Darling, a puppy hidden in a hat box for Christmas? This scene was included at the request of Walt Disney, as it mirrors a true life event in which he presented his wife, Lily, with a puppy on Christmas Eve! Lily was very surprised by the gift, but she fell in love with the puppy, which she named Sunee. From that day forward they became lifelong companions.

Furry Friends Vinylmation Artist Signing at South Coast Plaza

Hello friends!

We have exciting news for all you Vinylmation™ fans and animal lovers!

To celebrate the release of Furry Friends Vinylmation™, South Coast Plaza (Costa Mesa, CA) will host an early-release Artist Signing event on Saturday, 1/7, from 10:30a.m. – 1:30p.m.  Jim Valeri, Gerald Mendez, Enrique Pita, Quincy Sutton, and Matthew Chittavanichprapa, the artists that designed the series, will be on hand to meet fans and sign the figures they were responsible for creating.  Unfortunately, due to scheduling conflicts, Oskar Mendez will not be able to attend.

Woody, Buzz, Jessie and Friends Hit the Ice!

It’s the time of the year to strap on some skates and practice your twirls on the ice, and that’s just what our favorite characters from Toy Story 3 are doing!

Disney on Ice ™ presents Disney·Pixar’s Toy Story 3, a sensational live production including memorable moments from Andy’s beloved group of toys. Catch all the heroic action when Buzz Lightyear, Woody, Jessie, and the whole Toy Story gang escape from the rambunctious tots of Sunnyside Daycare and race for home in this fast-paced adventure.

A few of us over here at The Buzz were lucky enough to attend the premiere of the show, and we must say, it’s fantastic! Several celebrity fans were in attendance to celebrate the show opening, including Melissa Joan Hart, Jennifer Love Hewitt, and Ariel Winter (Alex from Modern Family). Disney Store was fortunate enough to collaborate with Disney on Ice ™ to donate over 100 toys to Toys for Tots. Check out the action in the pictures below!

It was amazing to see all the characters in dazzling and humorous performances, including our favorite scene from Toy Story 3, with Barbie and her groovy bachelor Ken. Disney Store Celebrates the Season of Giving

Greetings and Happy Holidays, Buzz Readers!

It is with great pleasure and excitement that I introduce myself as the new official Disney Store blogger for The Buzz! I am thrilled to continue bringing the magic and spirit of Disney Store into each and every post for all of you, our wonderful readers :)

For my inaugural post I wanted to share some of the fantastic holiday happenings we have going on here at Disney Store. In the spirit of the season Disney Store Cast Members came together to support two local charities, with our own version of Santa’s Workshop. Cast Members designed homemade holiday cards for the children at the  Los Angeles Children’s Hospital and decorated delicious sugar cookies for our local neighbors at Union Station Homeless Services. Check out our busy elves in the photos below!
