Greetings, Buzz Readers!
San Diego Comic-Con International 2012 was a HUGE success! An amazing time was had by our Cast Members who attended—from our So Tasty Vinylmation Series to an exclusive first-look at Frankenweenie product, Disney was quite the hit!
Check out some photos below of all the behind-the-scenes Comic-Con action!
Each day, Disney Parks and Resorts partnered with Disney Store at the Funko booth to giveaway 500 Comic-Con exclusive Vinyls. Guests who followed @DisneyStore on Twitter received updates alerting them when the Vinyls were released at the booth.
Our So Tasty Vinylmation series was the star of the show! Two figures from the collection were released every morning of Comic-Con and sold out before noon each day! These awesome Vinylmation figurines are scented as everyone’s favorite snack foods—a collectible that is sure to make your mouth water! Fans also loved the free So Tasty Vinylmation paper chef hats. Did any of you who attended snag some So Tasty swag?
The Disney Store and Funko POP! Vinyls were as popular as ever, having been hot ticket items at last year’s Comic-Con. Fans were eager to get their hands on the Glow in the Dark POP! Oogie Boogie figure and POP! Sulley and Boo set. I don’t blame them, Boo is just adorable!
Speaking of our good friend Sulley, Comic-Con 2012 was the first time a Disney·Pixar character has been featured as a BLOX vinyl figure. This year, the Sulley Color Studies BLOX from Monsters Inc. was the Disney BLOX hot item, featured in two unique color waves and inspired by The Art of Pixar.
Let’s not forget our awesome Marvel product! Guests at Comic-Con had their sights set on the Exclusive Spider-Man action figures by Diamond Select Toys, featured at the Diamond booth. The Amazing Spider-Man Unmasked figure will be available online at DisneyStore.com and MarvelStore.com as well as in Disney Stores nationwide starting in July 9, 2012. The one-of-a-kind Metallic Spider Man figure will be available exclusively online at DisneyStore.com and MarvelStore.com beginning July 30, 2012. Be sure to snatch these must-have figures up into your web before it’s too late!
Other notable Disney Comic-Con highlights include the fantastic Art of Frankenweenie booth, where fans got a behind-the-scenes look at the making of Tim Burton’s animated masterpiece and exclusive new Frankenweenie product, as well as the life-sized Disney POP! Vinyl Maleficent, which made for a perfect photo op.
How many of you were in on all the action at this year’s Comic-Con? Tell me about your experience and favorite moments in the comment section!

My favorite was the Super Nachos Vinylmation!
